Total money lost $850
Type of a scam Government Grant
I received an instant message on Facebook from my cousin who lives in Nashville claiming stating that she had received a free government grant from NEFFH National Endowment for Humanity Financial Assistance Program she claimed the she had gotten $18,000 dollars in a free government grant that wouldn’t have to be paid back and that she received her money within 24 hours after she applied. She then included a link and told me to do everything that the company asked me to do in order to receive my money. https/www.facebook.com/onlinecdsaagent or text 317-643-1071. When I went to the pngage there was a picture of my cousins brother in law on the page. I texted the number and the person who I was texting "Johnson Wiki Lee" stated that I had been approved for $65,000. I was asked to wire $500 via Moneygram to David R Whitt Jr in Fairlawn, OH the $500 was the delivery fee. After sending the $500 I was then asked to send and additional $350 for taxes. I sent a total of $850 to David R Whitt Jr. They said that my check would be delivered via FedEx. I was sent a photo of a wrecked FedEx vehicle and they claimed that it was the reason that my money was not delivered. I received a text from the company again asking for an additional $1000 today 2-10-2016.
