Type of a scam Credit Cards

Recorded message from Visa and Mastercard congratulating me for my great credit history and offering me zero percent interest rate on my credit cards. Push 1 to speak to them. Recorded message in Canadian female voice – no discernible accent. When push one you connect to what sounds like an call center in India. I did not provide any information to them as I knew this must be scam. I am reporting because this was the first time I heard this particular one.

Said he was representing the Visa-Mastercard Company. Wanted to lower my interest rates. Tried to get my card numbers by being elusive. I got a call back number 773-584-5132 (Illinois) Then I hung up. Spoke with an ‘asian’ type voice.

I received a call from a man claiming he was calling from Visa & Mastercard services and that i was in debt for a total of $4,000 and needed to make a payment. I knew it was a scam because they we’re calling from a local area code and not their usual 1 (800) number and to add to this i don’t own any credit cards from ANY lenders. we called the number that showed up on my caller id and a young man answered saying he has been receiving calls such as mine and that he believed they were routing scam calls through his personal cell phone.

This call started with automated message about how if i didnt press 1 my interest rates will go up. i pressed 1 and an man who tried to say my name was very unprofessonal and would not answer what company he worked for or more information about my interest rates. he just stated that i had interest rates above 12% which isnt true and i asked him to remove my name from his list. He refused to remove my name and refered to my by mispronouncing my name and asking where I live. Then he asked “are you smiling” and I replied “no im not smiling im upset and will report you for not removing me from your list”. after this he hung up. please aprehend scammers who have information on you and falsly threaten to increase your credit card interest rate.

My phone rang and a robo call voice answered says "Hi, this is Courtney…". I’ve heard this before and immediately pressed zero hoping to select a "do not call" option. I was connected to a man who took great offense to me asking to be placed on a "do not call" list. As he got more agitated, he said "I’m not someone trying to sell you bras and panties". Given the innappropriate nature of this comment, I asked to speak to his manager about 30 times. He continued to ask me what my age bracket is and finally what color underwear I was wearing. He connected me to his "manager" although he sounded the same. The manager told me his name is Mark Allen and he’s a Senior Financial Advisor (ID#VM2626). He told me that I have a beautiful voice and asked my age. I asked for his manager because he is obviously practicing the same business culture as the last man I spoke to. He told me he makes $100k a month and offered to pay me $50k. I didn’t respond and asked to speak to a manager. After he started to laugh at me, I hung up and blocked the phone number.
