Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
My cousin was visiting me from Luxembourg. She received an emergency call from her husband that her mother was found unconscious in her home and rushed to the hospital, her condition very grave. My cousin wished to return back to Luxembourg immediately to be with her mother, leaving two days earlier than originally planned. She had flight tickets with British Airways. We called number we found on-line for BA and it was intercepted by this company called USA Travel Services. I explained the situation to Wiola and told her my cousin did purchase travel insurance for emergency situations. She said her system was down but would call back. Hours later and several calls later, (12 hours in the making) she called back with the new flight times and took credit card information to charge over $2900. She also had us email a copy of the credit card to them at flyotickets.com. We never received flight confirmation information so I called British Airways first thing when then opened the next morning and confirmed the flight. Shortly thereafter, I received another call from Wiola saying they were only able to charge $660 on the credit card and needed permission to charge the rest. I told her I think this is a scam as the flight is confirmed and I hung up. Then my cousin received and email saying they purchased flight insurance. With the previous flight insurance, this change of flight should not have cost my cousin anything.
