My wife received a text message from a company called Tipa Healthcare today about possible employment. The contact person’s name was Melissa Peterson. This person indicated that she was from California. The interview was conducted on Google hangouts. According to the individual the person would receive a check to purchase equipment for a work at home position. The pay rate for the job offered was $25 per hour. The person doing the interview was named Melissa Peterson. I started looking up the names and photos of the board of directors and found one on Linkedin but her profile never mentioned Tipa Healthcare, but did mention Ramsay Healthcare. I then proceeded to Google the pictures and found most of them on the Ramsay Healthcare website: http://www.ramsayhealth.com/About%20Us/Leadership. I noticed that the pictures of the directors of this company was used on the website listed below. Also, the history and information from the Ramsay Healthcare website was copied and altered slightly to make it seem legit.

I received a text stating my resume had been received and to download hangouts and add careerdesk to my contacts. they went through and asked questions such as location, name, age, sex. They also asked what bank I used. I refused to provide as I felt that was unusual. They went on to hire me without a background check, without any pertinent information outside of my address (which was not good to provide). They sent a check and when I started questioning their process, they refused to answer my questions yet kept saying I would meet a supervisor, I had to purchase items to be placed in my name, they understand my concern, etc. but never answered how or why they would do such a thing if they were a truly legit business….
