Saturday December28 about 7 am I was on the Bing Home Page to look at an article about Dogs for the Older Person’s that is when my computer had a warning message with sound. I even shut it down and then turn it on. It did not help. So I call the number on the screen and Steven Jordon ext 206, org TEXORG LLC –Support contact 1 888 297-1333 came on and said to unlock it there is a onetime fix of $199.99. Also a check to Seamless Business Technologies Inc must be written. He mentioned to make sure the name is written correctly on it several times. Also he ask me are you writing the check. I said "Yes". Then he transfer the call to Sam Singh the network tech and he states that my computer network has to too many outside user on it. He showed this on my screen and to get rid of it to make it secure would be $310.00 for one year security. So now the total of $509,99 must be made out to Seamless Business Technologies Inc. I was going to write on the left hand bottom corner for______ and he said not to. He turn my camera and advised me to hold the check so that he can see it and I told him to turn the camera off after so many seconds. He also wanted the check scan on the printer which he had control. At this time I did not like when repeatedly mentioned the correct spelling of the company name, the check photo, the scanning, and also sending it on UPS. At that time Daniel the tech was working on the computer for 50 mins. Nancy went over the following items: 1 year security and support. Pay to Seamless Business Technologies Inc –3130 Grants Lake Blvd, P.O. Box Number 17114–Sugarland, TX 77496. She wanted me to send it on UPS and I mentioned that is impossible. I said I will mail it on Sunday and she was figuring out when it would arrived to them. Also she will give me a follow-up call on the computer performance next day. Which she did Sunday morning–left two messages about 0615 and 0620. I decided not to respond to the call due to, if this company is not legit. I also notified Microsoft about this company and Wilfredo O Technical Support check my computer out and removed the apps that was added to the desktop. I also went down to my bank and explain to them what had happen and they advised to closed the checking and reopen a new one. Also I VOIDED the check written to them. Would like to know if this is a legit company? If so, can they request payment for the fix and security support by doing this kind of blocking on the computer? I prefer not to interact with them. This type of doing business, needs to be stop. I contact ScamPulse.com yesterday and they advised to call CFPB which I did this morning and made a report to the Federal Trade too.
