Type of a scam Utility
Received a phone call that my power to our business would be shut off today. Given an 800# to call to arrange payment. I called the number because I was so nervous that somehow the payments we sent had not been received. The person who answered instructed me to go to Family Dollar and buy corporate bill moneypaks and to call him right back with the numbers, that TECO was on their way and I needed to do this within 30 minutes to prevent shut-off. Then I started to think about it (how ridiculous this all sounded!) and told the guy I was not going to do this and hung up. After checking my TECO online statement everything was in order.
