I went to a bridal show in Arizona in January 2019 which is where I met the people working with Studio 585 which is a "wedding photography and videography company". I thought they would be a reputable vendor if they were at a bridal show but it turns out they are a company that just keeps changing their name to scam people out of money and not provide services for their wedding. I initially spoke with a woman over the phone who ensured me that their company was based out of Arizona and that they had a photographer that travels the country, that’s why a lot of their pictures didn’t look like they were in Az. I gave her a $100 deposit to hold my wedding date. I was then sent a pamphlet by mail that had the contract in it and requested to return the signed contract and half of the full payment as a deposit by check (which ended up being $1300). A few months go by and I had a gut feeling that something wasn’t right so I tried to contact the company and they would not answer or return my phone calls or emails and their website is now "under construction". I then started doing internet searches and it turns out that there are a bunch of people who are in the same boat and have scammed out of their money. There is evidence that the pictures they were claiming were theirs were actually stolen from other websites and photoshopped. It also turns out that they are probably based in Pennsylvania.
