Type of a scam Online Purchase
Starryyou.com is an online shopping website for maternity clothing. I purchased several items from them and was so surprised when I received the package to see that ALL of the items were either torn, stained or damaged in some way. I didn’t even receive all the items, since they forgot to include them. I immediately asked for a refund and they gave me an option: i) to keep the items or give them to friends and get a $45 refund (I paid $156.41 all together) or ii) to return the items and get a full refund. There was no way I could settle with $45 and no one would want some cheap-looking damaged maternity wear, so I agreed to return the items. The address they gave me was: "Receiver: Mrs Hu 5th Floor, Building A, Xia Mao Commercial Plaza, Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China postal code is 510410." I shipped the items with USPS on 10/2/18 with tracking, and the items were supposed to arrive at their address on 10/10. After that, nothing. They have not refunded my $156.41 and keep insisting that the refund has been processed and I should check with my bank. It has been almost five months since I returned my items, and the customer service just keeps saying the same thing with a different staff name each time I send an inquiry.
