I also tried to purchase a puppy for $499.00 and the second one for $299.00 totaling $798.00. They requested payment via CashApp. I had already completed the transaction, but I was feeling a little skeptical, so I decided to look these people up. (Sure wish I had done it first) American Logistics Freight sent an e-mail message saying the puppies were within an hour of taking off but could not be shipped until I bought a special crate – another $1,000 – $1,500.

Subject: 23362557990 – *Puppies Crates Required*

Dear Client,

We wish to inform you that everything has been processed and a direct flight has been scheduled to take off to your location today within an hour, it was however realized that due to current Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and your puppies are about 10 weeks old.

The Department in charge with Boarding and Transporting of Pets has rejected your pets from boarding flights as scheduled, because of hazardous weather conditions that may be hazardous for young puppies. For this reason, a special Thermal Electronic Climate Controlled pets carrier crate is required for the shipping to proceed. This will help regulate the temperature and keep your pets in its normal state and stress free through the trip. If this fee is not covered within an hour, your puppies will have to miss the flight and more charges will be charged but if it’s paid on time we shall confirm and ship your puppies as scheduled. We will not be able to ship the puppies without the Thermal Electronic crates.

We will not charge you for usage of the above mentioned crate. The amount requested is a deposit to guarantee the return of the crate upon delivery of the puppies. Upon delivery of the puppies, kindly sign the form to collect your puppies and release the crate back to our agent. Upon crate release, our delivery agent will issue a refund equivalent to 100% of crate deposit. Refunds will be made either in cash or check depending on your reference. If you are unavailable or unwilling to release the crate upon delivery, our agent will leave a notice with instructions on how to return the crate and claim your refund.

See three available crate options and corresponding prices bellow:

Payment method for the Crate deposit will be through Cash App, is the two step process. Cash Apps often have transaction limits placed on new accounts or accounts with inconsistent activities. These limits are beneficial in that they protect you from unauthorized use of your account. As a result of this, transactions sent directly from your bank card via cash app fails.
A solution to this issue is to first Add the funds to the cash App balance before sending. If a transaction fails to add to your balance, kindly call your bank to authorize the transaction and try adding it again.
Follow the instructions below To add cash to your Cash App balance:
1. Tap the Banking tab on your Cash App home screen
2. Press Add Cash
3. Choose an amount
4. Tap Add
5. Use Touch ID or enter your PIN to confirm
If added correctly, your balance should be equivalent to the amount required for the deposit. DONOT SEND PAYMENT unless funds are first added to the cash balance.

These measures are required because if you do not follow the process of adding to balance before sending, your account will be flagged and possibly blocked.

After confirming that funds are in your Cash App balance, take a photo/screenshot and send it to us so we can confirm, provide you the information to make the deposit.

Website Solace Puppies is a scam company, they have no animals, although its supposed to be a puppy adoption company. They required a deposit to reserve the animal you choose, they take your card information and empty out your account. They take the money out in portions, $25 here, $37 there, $41…..etc until your bank account is empty. When a receipt is asked for as proof of payment, they say they are sending a receipt at that moment and then they never send anything. They purposely have no phone number or real address. When you catch the Allison who is an Account Manager, he/she immediately shuts down the text communication. They are scamming people without any conscience. This is Grand Larceny and it is illegal. Once they take your money they say your animal will arrive in 2 days, I am still waiting for my 2 days 2 weeks ago and they no longer answer any text. This hurts because in such hard times dealing with COVID, they are the typical vultures that prey on the naive, elderly, middle age. I need all my money back because they stole under dishonest circumstances. Please stop them, Please help me. I am out my money and I am without a puppy.

I looked at the web site and the second I saw those huge photoshopped photos I knew this was a scam. The eyes don’t even look real. And how can they afford to send two pups for $799 when the flight costs more than that. Then someone is going to deliver it to your door for free too?
Use you head for gods sake.
How stupid do you have to be to fall for such an obvious scam. These dogs are extremely expensive and you wanted something for practically nothing and your greed got the best of you. People please! USE YOUR Brain!
I also dont understand how Google keeps advertising them.

Tyrone – Sep 05, 2020

Yep only they changed the name yo puppies shop andnuse American Logistics Freight. And they threatened to put puppies in a shelter and have me arrested for neglect and animal cruelty.
I got [censored]ed out of $4298 because I really wanted the puppies and all I could think of is puppies alone.. i sent FCC and BBB a complaint. I hope they get shut down.

Meghan – Sep 02, 2020

I went thru the same thing they took 750.00 from me and did the same thing told me I needed a thermal crate and my bank inform me to never use an app that does not insure your money and as soon as they ask for Zelle or cash app do not go any further because it is a scam! I got web address and a phone number and also tracking number same as everyone has on here but trust me lesson learned when bank informed me how to check them out! So follow those rules and do not send them a full payment on dog until u got your product in your arms!

Hi , What happened was i seen a aid online that read. Five year anniversary promotion on dogs. So i opened the site and found the poodle of my dreams. They had a lot of dogs. I checked out what they were saying about Toby. They said he comes with everything. That they will send him to me at no charge. The charge was 500.00 dollars . So i payed them with Cash App. That is what they wanted. They emailed me and let me know they got the payment and i would have the Dog in 24 to 48 hours. That they would send me a tracking number. Then i got a email from a company named America Logistics Freight. Also got a phone call. He said i have to put a deposit down on a crate to send the dog 998.00. That was supposed to be all included in the price of the dog. The phone number for American Logistics Freight is 805-996-0210. I hope you can take care of this scam. Thank You Jody Pepin

ALERT! SCAM! Solace Puppies will take your money through Cash App and you will never receive a puppy. They do not have an email address or telephone number. That’s the first red flag. We ordered a Bichon Frise named Alexa, and we never received our dog. They claimed it was an anniversary sale for $499.00. BUYER’S BEWARE!

They will take your money, and you will not receive a puppy. We ordered a puppy named Alexa under Bichon Frise.

I almost got scammed today for $499;; their 5 yr anniversary deal.. so glad I researched more because I’ve almost got scammed twice last week.. so not right & why can’t anyone do anything about this?

Andrew – Jul 21, 2020

They tried to scam my mom today

This is the email they sent her:
Thanks for your interest in our puppy. Lilac is presently 09 weeks old, well trained, Vet checked and Ready for a new home. To proceed, We accept payment using your Cash App. Use the Cash Tag bellow to pay with Cash App.

CashTag:… $BARTON1960

Amount:… $499 USD

Cash App is an easy and secure way to send money. It is used by millions of people everyday. If you are not familiar. Simply search “CashApp” in your phone add store, download and set up an account

Lately, we have noticed that CashApp won’t send the payment directly from your card. Whenever they try, the transaction keeps failing. If you experience this, Make sure to link your debit card or bank account to CashApp, withdraw the money first into your CashApp balance by clicking the “Add Cash” button under account balance.

Here is a useful link i found on youtube on how to add cash to CashApp balance:

Alternative, we accept payment via Zelle and Cash Transfer . Let us know if you will like to pay with any so we can provide info.

After payment is made, email us a screenshot of the receipt along with your full name, the delivery address, phone number and name of puppy (ies) being purchased.

Solace Puppies, Star Boutique puppies and star puppies boutique are all the same company. They charge you $499 ($500 in my case) for the puppy to be delivered within 48 hours. Everything went smoothly until I was contacted by their pet courrier (AmericanDomesticFreights) at 6:00 am in the morning to tell me a thermal crate was needed to transport the pet because of bad weather and they needed a $1000; $1350; or $1500 for a refundable crate deposit. THis is the time I cut my losses and knew I lost $500. BEWare OF THESE COMPANIES

Re: Solace Pets & Star Boutique Pets
( star handled chihuahua’s) I paid my money through Zelle Friday night,
7/10/2020. Sat morning short reply that they were working on paperwork and I would get a tracking #. Last I’ve heard from them. I send 6 emails Sat. And two today! No response ! Any way to get money back?
How do I contact BBB & should we call Pittsburgh police or how do we proceed?

Caitlin – Aug 24, 2020

A lot of these scammers are overseas but u can contact Zelle or whatever cash app u use bc If they get enough complaints they can refuse to allow their services to these companies. Everyone on here should put the pressure on the apps that enable crooks bc they are your best chance for justice. So is instagram and face book and whatever reaches the most people. Don’t give up bc you might find some way to get them if they are in the states bc everyone has to have tax I’d or some bank. Also try taking a screenshot of the puppy and do an image search. If they are using stock photos or selling on different platforms like face book etc you might find useful info to get an I’d for internet crime division. These scams really bother me and I truly hope you find justice!

Jasmine – Jul 12, 2020

Paid through Zelle 7-10-20 for a chihuahua puppy. Sat I was told early am that they were working on paperwork and I would receive tracking #. No response to emails since. How do I contact BBB, and do I call Pittsburg police? [email protected],

I just got scammed from SolacePuppies and the shipper American Domestic Freight. I requested an immediate refund, and Ashley (the IM sales rep) stated, I would be refunded after I receive the puppy. Needless to say, I never received the puppy.

Jorge – Jun 24, 2020

i purchase a puppy and never recieved it nor my money back. they have you pay thru cashapp when they get that money they try to get you to pay for crate thru american freight saying it refundable but you never get anything back or puppy. this is truly a scam!

Evelyn – Jun 22, 2020

Also fell victim to this scam to the tune of $799 for two puppies. They connected through the ‘chat’ window on the site. After I realized I’d been scammed I went back to the chat and flat out called him a thief. We went back and forth and when I told him I was reporting him the chat came down and hasn’t been back up since. Use every caution! This is a scam operation pure and simple. There are no puppies only suckers. I’m ashamed to say I fell for it.

This so called company has a puppy website offering many different types of puppies and require you to send them cash either by Zelle, cash app, or western union. when I checked out the address that they had given me, found that is was a business complex with several different businesses in it which did not include SOLACE PUPPIES. The address that I was given was 6425 Penn avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15206. Glad I did a little more research and didn’t send them any money. They also told me to send the money Western Union to a Kasen TITI and when i questioned why I was sending the money to a person and not the business it was stated that this person was a cashier at the company. I was not given a phone number for any contact with them.

Drew – Jun 20, 2020

They say that they are shipping me a Bishon Frise puppy yesterday, but no puppy arrived when I called the American Domestic Freight said I needed to rent a different crate due to Covid19 so I sent the money. Then this morning American Domestic Freight said they needed insurance and more money that was again refundable when the dog got here. It is 3:25pm and they have my money, yet the shipper assures me that they have the dog and it will arrive today.I

Lucas – Jun 24, 2020

it will never arrive

Mayra – Jun 08, 2020

I too thought they were to good to be true. Spoke to a woman via text of Katilla Prince. When I ask for a phone number she said she couldn’t give that information out. No I did not send money, but I did let her know that I was contacting BBB. Have not heard from them since.

Meghan – Jun 08, 2020

I too contacted Solace puppies via website and “chatted’ with a guy…I think Charlie Colt…he told me all about the Puppy I wanted “Latte” for a total cost of 499.00 travel included and all their pups were under a “money back warranty”. He told me to download Cash app…which I did and to see if it worked to transfer $5.00 to him. Then since I was new to CashApp they would not let me transfer the other $ I was told to go to Western Union and transfer to him “Charlie Colt’ I was suspicious at this time and questioned him extensively. WU would not transfer to him either. I wass told I needed to go to get a moneygram then he would give me the travel info…because it was guaranteed to have the puppy to me within 48 hrs. I did it aqainst my better judgement…he had me emotionally. After he received the money I was sent an email from the “travel guy” with him requesting an $additional $950 for insurance! This is from [email protected] When I told him NO he DEMANDED I send it or they would send the puppy to a rescue and I would be charged withpet cruelty and abandonment! When i told him I was turning them in to the BBB and a police report they quit responding…no money returned SCAMMMMM

Tried to purchase a puppy for 499.00 and the second one for 299.00 totaling 799.00. They requested payment via Zelle through our bank. I completed the transaction and requested a phone number which they said it was down due to Covid. I felt things were a little off so I started researching and found people were stating they never received their puppy. I requested to cancel order and refund my money all within an hour of transfer. Still no money and now if I tried to contact them, they just shut me down in the chat online screen. Western union info if you do not have Zelle, Thiago Judah
