I paid the $4.95 shipping for a free sample of chocolate and they charged my account Saturday for $39.94. I called them 1st thing at 8am and was told by a woman named Anita that I didn’t read the fine print? I had 7 days to try their chocolate and If I didn’t return the package I would be charged $39.94. I should have never gave my ebt card… I called customer service back and there are only 2 people. The lady that answers the phone and Anita? Anita was no help at all. She was going in and out and I kept telling her . then I could hear her perfect but everytime I asked for corporate number, the phone kept breaking up until I hung up. I googled the *** *** *** and this company has a history of charging people without their knowledge. I am so MAD!

Skinny me chocolate had an ad for a sample of the chocolate of your choice for $4.99 . On that web page there was NOTHING stating if we ordered that we are signing up for a monthly subscription for a box of chocolates. Later I received a charge for $34.99 on my credit card. I called to ask why, they were very rude and yelling at me telling me that the charge was for the sample that I received and that now each month I would also be charged and receive another box. When I told her to stop yelling at me because it was very unprofessional she got even more rude, finished and hung up on me. That TRIAL for $4.99 was a scam to get more money blindly. I would never pay $40 for a bag of chocolates regardless of how good it tasted.

I responded to an internet ad about "free candy". All that was required of me was to pay for shipping. Foolishly, I signed up for this and provided my credit card information for the shipping fee. Now the company is charging me $34.99 EVERY MONTH for this "free" candy. I have repeatedly called and emailed the company requesting removal of this erroneous charge and instructing them to make no further charges to my credit card. I have also notified my bank and filed a claim with my bank.

This company runs ads on Facebook, misleading people to believe they are ordering a free box of chocolates. They charge you $35 a week later for the box. I called customer service and they said there’s nothing they could do about it because I did not read the fine print on their terms and conditions. Their Facebok and Yelp pages are covered with people telling the same story.

The ads are intentionally misleading and they have a policy in place to shrug off any complaints.
