Type of a scam Online Purchase
On 5/31 I answered an online classified ad for a German Shepherd puppy. I received a follow up email from ab00128590 with three pictures of the puppy and was told the cost was 700.00 which included air transport from Pennsylvania to my house. On 6/1,I received an email stating that the registration with the courier was complete, and that I would be contacted by them. I was given a link to a courier https://i-shipperslogistic.com.The link took me to that website with a phone # of 714-617-2212. I was later contacted by them and was told to send the700.00 by cash ap or MoneyGram. I set up accounts, but the money would not go thru. I was then instructed to send the $ via western union and was given instructions for mailing to Foshi Lovet MBUH,Limbe Cameroon 00237.It went thru and I was told to send a copy of the receipt via text to 714-617-2212. I was then sent an email and text stating that the puppy would leave Pa the next day at 10:45 and arrive to my house at 6:30pm.The next morning, I received a call and email stating that an additional 1,210.00 was needed for pet insurance and that I would be given back 1,200 when the puppy arrived at my home. I refused and contacted the seller via email. He replied he was sorry and he would pay 600.00 if I would come up with the other 600.00,since we were going to get the $ back in cash. I refused and cancelled the order and asked for my 700.00 back, but never received a reply. I can’t believe I fell for this, but after seeing pictures of the puppy and her parents, and being directed to what looked like a legitimate website, I did. I have all emails and texts that were sent to be, but I am not computer literate enough to send them(sorry)
