Total money lost $3,600
Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
I spent two months working with a lovely gentlemen with a British accent from Royal Star Properties, LLC to sell our fractional ownership with no cost to us, but a 6 percent fee at time of sale. He found a buyer, I was e-mailed the contract from Royal Star Properties, and the paperwork from the title company, First National Escrow Services in Colorado, and all appeared to be going well. Then I was told via e-mail and contract addendum that the Mexican Government required a $3,600 fee from non-citizens to sell their property. I begged and borrowed to get the money, and the day the wire transfer went through, Royal Star LLC blocked my phone number. I was able to got through to the office on a separate line and was kindly placed on hold. Of course my rep was "in a meeting." I left a message and have not received a call back regarding my contract or property sale.
