Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I received a call from a company asking if I would like to try their printer ink, which was supposedly much better quality and would last longer than other products. Two months later I received another shipment of ink. Concerned that this was some kind of an ink subscription service, I called them to say I hadn’t ordered any more ink and didn’t want any. They said they are a wholesaler and as part of the promo I had to get two. But due to the "misunderstanding" they would give me a discount on the second one. I definitely didn’t recall that being part of the conversation but I agreed to keep it and clearly told them I didn’t want any more. They even called a couple of weeks ago to say that I had fulfilled my ink purchasing commitment and to let them know if I ever need any more ink.
Last week I received another shipment of ink, this time twice as much as before. I called the company and this time they said I had agreed to get FOUR. However I had already gone online and discovered that this is their scam. There are dozens of complaints on the ScamPulse.com website as well as Google, all describing the same scam. They send you the ink, you tell them they don’t want it, they send it anyway, along with an invoice, and charge you a restocking fee if you want to send it back. Also, after doing some research we discovered that the ink is really cheap and can be purchased on Alibaba for $20.
This company also goes by the name Rose Paper Products Inc (that is the name of the company on the credit card statement)
