Victim believed that he was purchasing herbal remedies from RichHerbsFoundation.com. On Monday, May 4, 2020 at approximately 1229 hours, the victim received an e-mail from ‘[email protected]‘ requesting payment of $800.00 USD to be sent to "pay.pal.me/richherbs". The e-mail further stated that they would also accept payment via their office located in Texas by sending a money order to the Wells Fargo located at 9702 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036 (suspect provided banking information), which the victim did. One week later, the victim received an e-mail from "[email protected]" advising that the victim’s package was intercepted by U.S. Customs and Boarder Protections out of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The e-mail went on to state that the victim was required to pay an additional "Customs Duty/Tax" charge in the amount of $605.90 USD. At this point the victim realized that something was not right and suspected that he was being scammed.
