"Billy John" left me a voicemail with a reference number saying he needed to speak to me within 24 hours.
He then contacted my father and left a similar voicemail. I returned the call; he stated he was with Resolution Group Mediation calling on behalf of GE Money Bank. He refused to mail a debt validation letter; he said it would be emailed as they only process things electronically. He was trying to verify my social security number over the phone, but I refused to allow him to finish repeating the number and would not agree to speaking it over the phone. He would not provide me any additional information about the company. The website is vague and offers no real information about the company; the address on the website is out of Georgia, but "Billy John" called from a Maine area code. I have placed a Fraud Alert with Equifax and filed a complaint with the FTC.
