Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was looking for a present for my son going to high school and ordered a Nintendo Switch Mario Odyssey Bundle for $92.89 from https://repulse.website on 07/26/2020. The website came up when I searched Google for Nintendo Switch Bundle deals. There were no shipping, taxes or fees listed for my order but my PayPal account was charged $106.82. A confirmation number was displayed after purchase but an email was never received regarding the purchase. I didn’t realize that right away. When I went back to the site on 07/27/2020 to purchase games, I noticed that my cart still showed the Nintendo Switch in it. I decided to search to see if it was a scam and there was a lot of information to suggest that it was. The USPS tracking number provided says the item was delivered before I even ordered it. The phone number listed under Contact Us is linked with various websites flagged as scams and was busy when called. The About Us page of the website says it is based in Hong Kong but looking further there was a Los Angeles address listed (with it misspelled as Los angels). I was also asked to connect my PayPal account to Messenger and was told a receipt would come through Messenger. A receipt was never received. A resolution dispute was filed with PayPal.
