Total money lost $6,000
Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received and email from a company called Republica LLC congratulating me on getting hired as their new part time (work from home) position. I was then prompted to contact a Christina Krablin to receive further instructions. She then told me a check (of $6250.33) was coming in the mail for me to deposit for equipment to be delivered to my house to start work. She then proceeded to give me an account she claimed to be the vendor to transfer $6,000 through BofA. She said the rest of the check was for compensation for training. Once the check had posted into my account she then asked me to transfer the $6,000 to their vendor. The next day, however, I got a notification from my bank (BofA) that the check had bounced.
