Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
A mystery shopper/independent shopper scam. They send you a check with a job to perform (buy Visa gift cards and send them the gift card info) then suddenly the check bounces and your bank account is in the negatives. I didn’t fall for it, but I want to make sure no one else does either!
