Psychic Serenity (Dorothy Mitchell or Valerie)

Susan –

Victim Location 33619

Total money lost $200

Type of a scam Other

Initially, Dorothy Mitchell claimed her name was Valerie; however, after she claimed I had a negative "blockage" and needed to send $200 immediately to clear the blockage, she stated her real name was Dorothy Mitchell. After I continued to decline the offer, Dorothy guaranteed a 100% refund at any point if I was dissatisfied or if I did not receive services I expected. Therefore, I sent the money to her via Money Gram as she requested and she stressed she would provide my services and appointment at 3 PM the following busines day over the phone. Dorothy picked up the $200 at 10 am the following business day and I never heard from her again. I called her 3 times (twice at 3 PM and once right before 4 pm) before reporting her as fraud to Money Gram. Dorothy appears to be operating under different names and phone numbers (she contacted me from a New York phone number and an Orlando, FL. phone number, but stated she resides in Ft. Lauderdale). I also believe Dorothy may have been arrested in the past for fraud, as there appears to be a Florida psychic fraud case reported online under Dorothy Mitchell. I texted the 407 number multiple times requesting she return my $200, but she refuses to comply.
