Noticed a charge on my elderly father’s bank statement. Called the number to find out what for. Tried to get the name of the company from the foreigner who answered, but was told she represented many companies. Towards the end of the conversation after much prodding, she said the name was "Priority Member". They have been charging him for magazine subscription service when he has not ordered any at 24.95/mo for almost a year. They said he had received a 100 dollar shopping reward and could try out the magazines for a 9 day trial period. If he did not cancel then will be billed. I know my father struggles to even see well enough to read. I have never seen any magazines at his home, so he never ordered any. He was billed for the opportunity to order magazines. I will be asking him if he ever received a "shopping reward" from them. If he did, I’m sure it was useless.
