A few weeks ago, I got a call saying they needed updated info for the yellow pages. they did not offer any services, as i would have declined. Now i have a bill for $1188.00 from Open Business Solutions. I do not know what to do with this bill. I am obviously not going to pay it.

The scammers are located across seas ( they say Germany). The scam starts with a fax regarding yellow pages Alaska or whatever state you are located in. They ask for a year contract paid up front in full. They then proceed to invoice you for money due even though no service was provided. They will harass the business and threaten to sue or take the business to collections if the invoice is not paid. If still the scammed business has not paid these "invoices" they offer to settle for a lesser amount before taking "legal action".

We received a fax and then a letter from what looked like the Maryland Yellow Pages asking us to correct our account and stating this is a not a bill. They had incorrect data so I filled it out and faxed it back to 888.864.3026. 3 months later we received a bill for $1238 from Open Business Directory LTD. It was completely false advertising and they make you sign the document which in turn is a "contract" where you have to pay a year in advance for nothing!

A few years ago, our office received a faxed form asking for updated address information. Our office manager returned it, and we were later sent a bill for $1,188 from the company Open Business Directory Ltd. The signature they have is not from a person who is authorized to incur charges for the business. After repeated attempts to dispute the charges, the company continues to send us bills and has now added additional fraudulent charges to it, totalling $2,576. We have not paid anything, but we are sick of getting harassed and wasting our own fax paper on this scam.
