National Auto History/EcoMax

Dawn – Jan 09, 2021

I purchased 5 vehicle history reports from Title verifiers-EcoMax for $36.00 CAD thru PayPal, I was sent one report (with I now figure was a phony report). I have my user name and password but can no longer login, can not get support and they do not reply to messages.

Type of a scam Other

Scammer contacts someone selling their car on a classifieds site like Craigslist or KSL.com claiming to be interested in buying their car. Asks basic questions about the car and then says they’re interested but they want a specific vehicle history report from national auto history.com. Ultimately demands you buy this report instead of ***. Report looks nothing like the sample report they provide on their site. They simply collect $25 from you and leave you nothing to show for it, and no potential buyer for your car. They use PayPal to process the card, but buyer protection is offered because paypal only processed the card. Merchant shows as “EcoMax”.
