Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I am a model and was contacted to do a photoshoot for the redbook magazine. Everything seemed legit and said he was sending a check for the first portion of my shoot and I receive the second one the day of the shoot. They were supplying the photographer and hair/make-up artists. I received the check via FedEx and deposited it in my bank account. An hour later my bank called me and notified me that the check was fraudulent. The individual then started to send me text messages asking why I did not notify him immediately once I received the check. This made me suspicious. He then sent me more messages asking why I was ignoring his texts. I never replied back. Very scary.
