Last May (2017) my computer was comprised and I was asked to call in order to solve the problem. I did and in order to solve it I would need to pay a large sum – I think around $400) which I would have support for 4 years. The name I have in my files is Gary – phone 877-247-5998 and
account number I was assigned was FNS1164. They would continually contact me to spend more money as they said they needed to upgrade. I also was continually getting my computer comprised. I have since gone with McAfee and their support team which is wonderful. So today I get a call from the Council of BBB – phone # 703-276-0100 telling me that they (ms support ) is going out of business and they need to refund my money. In order to do this I need to give them access to my computer in order to fill out a form. I asked many questions and refused to give them access. They say they are going out of business in two days and if I don’t agree now it will be too late to get my refund of around $400. I would really like to get my refund but will not give them access as I don’t trust them. Would like help and to know
if anyone else has experienced this.
