Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
I received a letter by mail stating that I won $480,000. The beginning of the letter was written in French which I thought was odd considering the address was Braintree, MA. The letter states that their license is 9398 and that their President was Peter M. Hardwick. They left a phone number to contact them. I called and they asked me for the claim number and reference number that was provided on their letter.
I was then told they would mail me my check and that I would only need to pay the taxes on this. I called my local ScamPulse.com and realized this was a scam.
