Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was selling a motorcycle on ebay motors, after the sale ended with no success, a person contacted me wanting to buy the bike. He didn’t ask much about it other than to say he would like to purchase. I thought I was doing everything right by telling him I needed a certified check and that he would have to pay for all shipping. I told him the cashier check HAD to clear before shipping company could pick up our bike. When I received the check it was for $2,800 more that what we agreed to, (first Red Flag), second the check came from New York (Moving Mover) he said he was in Houston TX, (second Red Flag), I immediately texted him back and said, I didn’t think this deal was good and I was cancelling the deal and would return the check. When I went to return the check to him the address he gave me was an (Undelivered Address), (Final Flag). I told him I was reporting this to the ScamPulse.com and the police. Thankfully, we did not send out the bike or give him our home address.
