Manpower Group Employment Scam

Type of a scam Employment

I was solicited first by text (787.746.0430) by a person claiming to be Pamela Johnson from Manpower Group and then on Google Hangouts by a person claiming to be a Manpower Group hiring manager using the same name and photo as the CEO of Manpower, Jonas Prising. I was interviewed through Hangouts and asked to report back for duty the following day, which I did not agree to. I was also told a check would be mailed to my house to be used to purchase materials for my new position. I was sent a false Employment Offer Letter (attached) from email [email protected] – the account clearly stated it belonged to Ram Chandrashekar, though "Jonas Prising" stated this email had been sent personally. I received a second email from this same address asking me to complete tasks to prove my commitment to the company. Within a few days, a USPS Priority Mail envelope arrived to my house with a letter from "Mr. James UnderWood" stating he is from the "Company Payment Department and should be notified at [email protected] upon receiving this payment. The check is made out in the amount of $4,850.00 USD and states it is from Harsch Investment Properties, LLC.

I have not responded to these emails, I have not cashed this check, I have reported this fraud to both Manpower Group and Harsch Investment Properties.
