My daughter Maya Michel received a counterfeit check. Bank name is North Cascades Bank. My daughter was offered $600 a week in lieu of paying bills with the remainder of the check balance. My daughter was asked to deposit this check in the amount of $4,782.11 into her checking account. There were many unique characteristics such as many different names associated with this one check: Keycode Media Inc., Campbell’s Lake Chelan’s Waterfront Resort. The CEO, Don N. Schimp name was not present on the check. The bank North Cascades Bank volunteered the information that the funds were in this account to cover the check. This was odd, because most banks would not disclose this information due to security reasons. Also, the check number at the bottom, did not match the check number at top of check.
