I applied to a job listing on indeed that seemed legit, and then received text messages wanting me to fill out my information to confirm my application. They asked for info that was all already in my app, so I thought nothing of it. Then I received a text and an email from a "James Ferguson (Ph.D)" that said they wanted to hire me, without ever talking to me or anything. I got an email saying that I would receive a check for the amount of my first week’s pay and some extra for errands I was supposed to run for him. Something to do with checking in at orphanage hospitals and buying things for them. All in all, very sketchy. Look out!
