I applied for a job on Indeed.com for a receptionist job for Kellogg. I was contacted in my personal email about the position, was asked some general questions and told about the job. The scammer said he was at a summit in Canada so couldn’t meet right away but had a lot of work to catch up on. He offered me the job and we exchanged a few more emails about the job duties. He send me a check for my first weeks pay and budget for the duty for that week. I deposited the check into my account, only to be told by my bank two days later it was a fake check.
