Strange from the beginning! Received letter on 9 Mar 2018 from "IRS Austin, TX" requesting W-2 for my amended income tax return received 8 Feb 2018, STRANGE INDEED!! I do not reside in TX, don’t use TX IRS, never sent in an amended return, and didn’t use W-2 forms. Scammer references legitimate IRS phone numbers to obtain forms, in an effort to show legitimacy. OBVIOUS SCAMMER, CAUTION ADVISED!!
