Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
Phone call from man said to be Joe McMillan, Vice President of International Sweepstakes Clearing House. He wanted to give me a check for $750,000,000 and a new white Mercedes. He said he could direct deposit the money to my bank account if I gave him the bank information. Or, if I did online banking he would need that information, including my password. Or, he could have Cynthia Rose come to my door with the check, and I would need to give her my identity information. Then, go with her to my bank, so she could deposit the check in my account. I didn’t give him the information he wanted, told him I thought it was a scam, and that I was going to hang up, which I did.
