Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
I received a mailer with a Canadian postmark saying I won an International prize. I received a check for $4725. They claimed I needed to call the number provided because I needed to pay an administrative fee. The name on the check was Venture Technologies. Another name on the solicitation I received was International Payments group. I believe this to be a scam due to them wanting me to pay an administrative fee.
