Type of a scam Employment
College students seeking marketing business internships are hired and offered a position described in the attached offer letter. The students are told during interviews that their salary will be $300-$350/week. There is no mention during the hiring or offer process that the job is really a 100% commission job selling door to door. Once the intern begins the job, the money promised during the interviews NEVER materializes. The pay scheme changes almost daily with increasingly, never before disclosed conditions required to earn money. When an intern requests to work on "base pay" as promised during the interview, then new conditions are introduced to prevent the intern from receiving payment. If the intern continues to strive to meet those conditions – then the intern is fired so that the payment for work completed never happens. The offer letter says M-F, noon to 8 pm. The owner required interns to work M-Saturday to even have a chance at "base pay." Students have also reported incidences of sexual harassment, verbal abuse & unsafe working conditions. Please see company reviews on Glassdoor.com – the negative reviews are the only accurate ones. Many former interns can confirm this report.
