Total money lost $600
Type of a scam Tech Support
i bought a printer installed and I had a problem getting it to work. So, then this phone number popped up on my computer screen. I called it and the guy said he can help me. He said that 6 of my drives were not working and he can fix the problem . I trusted him! Then he asked if i can let him in remotely so he can take a look. Long story short, I went out and purchased 6 xbox cards for key code purposes as payment which he requested. I was informed that I would be refunded of my $600, but I wasn’t. It was all a scam and i was the victim.

I was called saying they were aware of my computer’s problems and ironically our computer was having issues, quite possibly because of something they did (my husband found the computer on and another man’s face on the screen as if he was interfaced with our computer).
So I followed their instructions giving them full access to my computer for several days it turns out, because when I went to use my computer it was locked and I could not sign on until they called me with a password.
Then they wanted me to sign into my bank account so they could refund the $200 I paid for the service. I never paid $200 for any service so I am not sure if they took money from my account or if they have billed a credit card. I will have to look for suspicious charges, but at this time I am afraid to log into my accounts because they still have access to my computer and can see my information.
I need help.
