Type of a scam Government Grant
Received a call from a foreign gentlemen, by the name of Thomas Anderson told me that my name and number had been selected by the government for a Loyalty Grant from the Government. He said that I was selected because I pay my taxes on time, file my taxes on time, have no criminal record and haven’t filed bankruptcy. He read off my home address and asked how old I am. I asked him what the name of the company was and he said it was the government’s Health and Humane Services and that I would get a free grant of $7,000 and that all that was required was to use it for a good purpose. I had to call back to 206-445-0739 to verify a confirmation number he gave me and they would provide me with information on how I would get the money. I called and they said the money could be deposited to my checking account, placed on a credit card or I could get it from a money gram store. They said I would need a drivers license and $250 for an activation fee, which would be returned with the $7,000 deposit. He looked up the nearest place and he gave me a Schnucks Store at 60Hampton Village. He said when I go to the Store that I needed to call him back and ask for Willie, and that he would need to stay on the line with me through the whole process. I looked up scams and found others like this and I did not call back or give them any money.
