Type of a scam Tech Support
Computer identified a hacking with a 1-888 # to call. Called # & talked to Andy. He stated my computer had been hacked & it would cost me $200 for Eversoft/Microsoft affiliate to make sure it didn’t happen again. I couldn’t get into my computer so they started running diagnostics on it. I did agree to pay them but after watching what they were doing I proceeded to close my bank/charge card accts. After they were done, they had cancelled my Avast security program & entered Norton. I told several people about this & they said I had been scammed by this Andy person & I shouldn’t have called that number. So I tried to get back into my computer & it was froze up, wouldn’t let me sign on so called a tech in my home town, he took computer & informed me that my C drive had been fried & "whomever" had made it impossible to get back on. I called & demanded my money back twice & was refused. If I need documentation about fixing computer, tech said he would be more than happy to make a statement. This Andy person is very scary. Upon checking company out, they have an address out of London. I have informed credit card company to dispute charge & to put a stop pay on any monies they may try to acquire. This company after checking is not a physical company, created on 7-16-2016 under another name of "go daddy"
