I received a text message from Carolyn Vela. She asked me to communicate with the hiring manager via Google Hangouts. First red flag. After he conducted an interview, he asked me to accept a check from them for my "work from home office equipment", deposit it in my bank, and then pay specific vendors for specific equipment. This all sounded fishy, so I googled the company and reached out to someone who said the person who contacted me doesn’t work for them and suggested that I not pursue the process any further.
