Had a guy come to my door with Clearhome, trying to sell Directv. He had a Directv shirt and everything, and it took quite a bit of badgering to get him to admit he wasn’t WITH Directv. Still, he got me signed up, assured me that he would personally help if I ever needed anything, and that was the end of that. Turns out, he sold me AT&T internet service that wasn’t available at my house. Clearhome also charged me $7 under the name "IRON SHIELD WARRANTY 888-263-2811 UT" for a warranty I was never told about and never agreed to. Apparently this is a recurring charge that they would have continued trying to take from me, even though I cancelled my Directv service.

I had 2 representatives come to my door, (in Colorado Springs, CO) dressed as Centurylink employees. Embroidered shirts, ID’s, very pleasant girl named ***. Turns out they actually work for Clear Home. They sold me on switching to Centurylink for internet and signed me up for DIRECTV. Creating accounts with both companies, installation etc. The (apparently Clear Home not DirecTV) installers (*** * ***) signed me up for a warranty on the equipment (They did NOT say it wasn’t a DirecTV service). I was immediately charge 6.99 for the month. I cancelled all DirecTV & Centurylink service within 24 hours. However, NO-ONE at Centurylink or DirecTV knows who Iron Shield Warranty (provided via Clear Home) is. Multiple people at both companies do not have record of association with Clear Home or Iron Shield Warranty. I will file this same report under Iron Shield. Iron Shield’s # is invalid. Call Clear Home (801-692-5000) to supposedly cancel it. Will see next month if it really cancels. Reports show it often does not.
