This is a website made to look like the USPS change of address pngage. They charged me double fees of $59.95 when the USPS changes only $1.05. They don’t have a phone number or direct email to reach them and for support you type into some ‘contact us’ page where they claim customer service will contact you. Beware to those that are moving, be sure you are on the main USPS website when changing your address and use a credit card if possible so you can dispute charges if you accidentally fall for scams like this.

I thought this was the regular USPS service to forward my mail – I searched mail forwarding and I am changing a bunch of addresses so didn’t realize it wasn’t the official USPS site. I remembered mail forwarding being a one dollar fee, so when they asked for my CC I thought it would just be that. Quickly I saw it was actually an $80 charge for something that is $1.05 through USPS. I called to cancel and they kept trying to say they would provide other services that are either very little or free like national do not call list or reducing spam mail. They offered a 50% discount, only $10, only $2 (which is still more than the $1.05 than it should be!). I had to say please cancel the entire amount 4 times before they finally agreed. To their credit, they cancelled it almost immediately after I hung up.

We went online to change our address after moving. This is the first website to come up when you search change of address. They do not give you a price for their services what do ever. The only way we found out is by checking our bank account immediately after processing our order. After realizing it was $79.95. That is an unheard of amount for a change of address. I immediately called the company to cancel my order. They first offered us 50 % back, then everything but around 10 dollars. It took pushing back three times just to get my complete refund. This is outrageous scam-like behavior and this operation needs to be shut down. Fingers crossed they don’t steal our card info to use in future endeavors.

This website initially appears to be the USPS address change site. They include all of these fees in their fine print and their Terms & Conditions and Privacy policy do not even exist when you try to access the links. Trying to get my money back, I called the number on the website and was greeted by someone who continued to try and sell me more products and gave me the option for a half of a refund because the “order had already been processed” literally five minutes before. Eventually, they agreed to give me the full refund minus a few dollars. I am very uncomfortable with this company having my information. During the process of filling out the change of address form, it indicated that their would be a fee, I thoght that it may be a $5 or $10 fee charge by the USPS. In the process of moving, I went online to change my address with the post office. I had been told in the past it costs about $6 to change your address with USPS. Clicking one of the first links that popped up was my fault, but I assumed I was redirected by the post office to a third party who handles address changes. On the site ChangeMyAddress.org it asked for address information, promised to remove my phone number from solicitation lists, etc. It was a red flag when the site asked for my credit card info before displaying the total cost of the address chagne, but I thought it would show the total and ask for order confirmation on the next page, as most websites do. That did not happen. Not only did it immediately process my card for $79.95, but on the email "receipt" it did not indicate the price to be paid, or what the near $80 was going towards.

When I called to cancel the whole thing, the rep tried to pitch me a partial refund with full service, I said no, then she tried to pitch me a $10 package, I said no, then she said they would refund all of the money but $1.95, and I said no. I told her I wanted a full refund and to be removed from their system entirely. I then asked why they don’t display cost information on the website or in the email "receipt" and she fully ignored the question saying, "So we’ve issued your refund, can I do anything else for you?" I asked if she could hear me, she said yes, I asked her to answer my question and she said, "I don’t build the website, but the cost is definitely listed in the terms and conditions." To which I asked, "You mean the fine print that is pages and pages long?" She said yes. I replied, "I know its not your fault, and I do hope you have a great day, but that is a terrible way to run a business."

I knew there was a $1 fee included with changing your address online though so I didn’t think too much of it. The fake website charged me $80 to change my address! I immediately cancelled my card and will dispute the charge. No website should charge that much or take advantage of a $1 service or not tell you how much they’re charging. I feel silly for continuing to pay anyway, but the website looked very credible and it being a .org made me feel safe as well. Don’t fall for it! It is very misleading and offers services available by USPS for $1. I called them as I had charges on my credit card and asked them to cancel all services. They repeatedly tried to get me to agree to keep some services, including "the USPS change of address service for which the USPS will charge 1.75). I discovered ChangeMyAddress.org in pursuit of changing my address for an upcoming move. Towards the end of my online process, I was informed that a fee would be charged. The amount was not stated on the website. Once I submitted my debit card information, I was asked if I wanted access to add-on services, I declined them all as I knew they would come at an additional expense. I completed the process, was told it would take 10-14 days for my change of address to take effect, and that a receipt would be sent to my email address. I retrieved the receipt but couldn’t locate the amount charged…so I called their customer support number. I spoke with Frank and when asked the amount that I’d been charged, I was told $59.95. Apparently, I was being charged for the exact services I clearly declined. When I told Frank that I did not request nor did I desire those services, he offered them to me for half price. Again, I firmly stated that I did not want the services. Again, Frank offered me the Nation No Call List for $9.95…AGAIN, I said NO. At this point, Frank feigns NOT being able to hear me…as if we suddenly developed a bad connection. I was not driving…I was sitting at my desk and did not move from that spot during the entire conversation. Once we were "reconnected", I told him that I was not paying any more than what USPS.com was charging which was a $1.00 (It’s important to state here that I THOUGHT I was processing my change of address through a USPS endorsed 3rd person party. Once I uncovered the actual USPS.com website, I used it to process my son and daughter’s change of address which clearly stated that a $1.00 fee would be accessed to verify the addresses.) Frank then told me that the final charge would be $1.95. At this point I acquiesced but QUICKLY thought better of it and cancelled the entire order. I was then given a confirmation number to confirm the refund transaction and told that an email would be sent for further confirmation. I received TWO email refund confirmations…one for $1.95 and another for 58…that’s it…the number 58. No cents or dollars indicated…JUST 58. I then called customer service back and spoke with Megan. When I requested another refund confirmation that clearly stated a refund $58.00 NOT just the number 58, Megan told me that as it was a computer generated document another could not be sent. How convenient. I then told her that Change My Address needs to address the protocols because they’re shady at best. At this point, she told me to have a nice day. I told I would AFTER I reported them to the ScamPulse.com.

I called my bank IMMEDIATELY and was told that there was a pending amount of $1.95 to be posted to my account. I haven’t lost any money YET but no credits have been posted to my account by Change My Address thus far. As a precaution, I had the debit card I used cancelled as I now feel VERY vulnerable and at the whim of this company’s shenanigans. This company DEFINITELY needs a CLOSE LOOK because they’re business practices are CLEARLY LACKING in integrity and have the GREAT potential to dupe others with their DECEPTIVE ways. Like many others, I googled change my address looking for the official U.S. Postal Service change of address website while under the hurry and stress of moving. Changemyaddress.org, came up near the top of the search results that looked very much like the official USPS site. I was deceived into thinking the site was official, it is designed just like the official site and asks the same types of questions. As others who have moved know, the official USPS site asks whether you would like coupons or to share your new address with businesses or services which you can decline. The typical charge for the USPS service is $1. Changemyaddress.org has unreadable text hidden on the site somewhere saying that the charge for their service is $59.95. I received no email confirmation about their service or charge. Several days later, I noticed the amount charged on my bank statement and realized I had been deceived after a quick internet search of the company. I called and had to ask several times for a refund while the receptionist read a form response and successively reduced the charges to $1.95. They have obviously received many calls of this nature. They try to justify the deception by saying they provide the service of putting your name on the do not call list (which I’m already on and was not mentioned clearly on the site), along with sending your move information to advertisers ( I did not select any of these options on their site).

This is an intentional con preying on people who are dealing with many things while moving. I urge anyone who has been tricked to call them for a refund, then change your payment card number because this company should not be trusted, then file a complaint with the BBB, then write to a local newspaper in the form of a letter to the editor to inform your community about the scam.

It doesn’t tell you how much they are charging you while you are putting your info in. It doesn’t show anywhere until it gets charged and shows up on your statement. It charges your 60 for a simple task. It could be legal but it is completely taking advantage of people. This is crap.

If you search for the USPS change of address website on a search engine, the https://changemyaddress.org website comes up and it looks and feels just like the usps site due to the color and style they have utilized. You are scammed into entering all your information and no where does it state that they are not affiliated with USPS and that they charge almost $50 for a service that you could get for free if you go into an USPS or use the USPS online system for just $1. Once you receive the confirmation email, you realize that you have been scammed into paying for a service – they don’t even show how much they are going to charge until you check your bank account.

They have their website set up as an add when one is searching for usps.com to change your address. User can inadvertently enter all of their info on their site and are charged $49.95, with no notice of the charge!!! USPS charges $1.00. I had to cancel my credit card and file a claim. When I called the company they were very rude and said I SHOULD PAY MORE ATTENTION WHEN USING MY COMPUTER.

This website looks and acts like it is part of the united states postal service. When you are applying for a official change of address on the offical usps they ask for your card information to verify proper identification. Thats what i thought i was doing, until i received a $49.95 usd charge on my account. This company is acting like they are the USPS handiling change of address procedures when they are not.

Then i found the information on this company, contacted them and was told i was screwed pretty much. they did not offer refund and when i called the phone was answered like it was not a place of business but a personal number

Changed address online. They deducted 44.95 from my checking account. My mail totally stopped prior to the requested date. The postal service I complained to stated this company is not associated with USPS and is a scam. I am missing first class mail for the last week that was undeliverable.
