Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was looking for a dog and found an ad on craigslist, I contacted the person and got broken English responses and was told that even though the ad was posted in La Crosse, the dog was in California and needed to be shipped. I was somewhat suspicious but still gave them my full name address and phone number, when I asked for specifics I got a prewritten responses, so I started looking at the website more closely and noticed that there were really bad spelling mistakes. The physical address provided was to another business altogether. I figured out that it was a scam in less than a day, but based on my research this is not the first time that these people have done this sort of thing they seem to be changing addresses when they get caught. The address listed on the website does belong to a legitimate dog daycare place, but the phone number provided went to voicemail. I did go back to the craigslist ad to flag it and it was already flagged by someone else.
