Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Caller has called my home and cell phone on two separate occasions. First speaking to my husband at home and then calling my personally on my cell phone. Both times caller stated that they wanted to speak to me regarding an $800+ bill for a ambulance ride taken in March of 2015. My husband refused and asked the caller to give him the year of birth for the person he was calling about. The caller would not do so and promptly changed his story to say that the person in question was a minor. When I was reached on my cell phone, the caller asked me to provide my year of birth. I refused and asked for him to give me the year in which he had in front of him, in which he refused to do saying it was confidential information and didn’t know if I was committing fraud. When I stated that I was not in that area at the time in question, but offered to go to the place in question to talk to someone regarding the incident, the caller suddenly said that I didn’t have a bill and that he would take my number off of the list.
