Type of a scam Charity
A woman with a back pack approached me garage commenting on the military flags and license plates in my garage. She then asked for a $40 donation toward a care package to send to a soldier. I told her all I had was a credit card so she put me on the phone with someone who I could barely understand. At that point I told her the situation seemed very sketchy to me. She informed me they had a website and one of my neighbors had donated. Something felt off so I declined. Later, other individuals in my community said people representing the same company had told them they were raising funds for disadvantaged children, handicapped children as well as active duty vets.
