Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Received email claiming they would pay me $500 per week if I were to allow them to put an advertising decal on my car for a time period from 1 to 3 months. My choice of time. I just needed to answer 3 simple questions and submit car photos. Questions: How long did I want to participate. Do I drive the car everyday. And have I been in any accidents in the last year. They were to pay in advance and would send me a tracking number for the check the following day after I submitted the information and photos. Which I unfortunately did. They stated they use an outside payment system so do not be alarmed when the check is not from Anheuser Busch. I did research and figured out this is a scam before receiving the check tracking number or check. The initial email was forwarded to me by a family member thinking it was an easy way to make extra money. I also forwarded it to two other family members thinking the same thing before I figured out it was scam. One of them also signed up as well.
