I got a pop-up ad telling me to call a number because my computer may have been infected. I called them (18662465182) and was sent to https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/Customer/Code.aspx or Supportme.com
I was increasingly wary of the company and the action they were taking, but was repeatedly reassured that they would not deceive or mislead me and that the actions they were taking were necessary for my computer. I have been able to do some research and have discovered that the operation may have been a scam. They were very friendly and seemed legitimate, but I fear it was a scam. They charged me 200 dollars and I do not see much change in my system since they "repaired" it.
