Type of a scam Phishing
Individual called and asked "is your car still for sale?". Then he hung up and proceeded to text messaging me requesting I use that specific site for a vin number check of the vehicle history and that site only. I told him I wouldn’t use that site for the vin check and he ignored me and kept saying he would expect it in his email. Pretty positive this was just a scam to collect my personal information and try and charge me a fee. I did not follow through with utilizing the website as everything he said was suspicious and he wouldn’t confirm whether he lived here on Oahu currently.
