My resume on on ZipRecruiter while in the process of finding a new job. I received a text from 765-986-1145. A person claiming to be Christian Lohmann from SGS Groups said he had reviewed my resume and thought I was a good fit for a position with this company, which I did not apply for. There were several grammatical and spelling errors in our text conversation. He instructed me to contact the HR, Dr. Hills Gonzalez via Google Hangouts at [email protected] to conduct an interview via chat. I was also sent an email with some background company info, a brief job description, and a very generous pay and benefits package. After a brief interview done by chat, I was offered a position and was told I would receive documentation to sign and send back. I was unable to locate any record of this person via Google search or on the SGS company website. I was, however, able to find a similar complaint on ScamPulse.com of the same occurrence (scam:215848). I asked "Dr. Gonzalez" for the job posting and title, which he gave Administrative Executive. To no surprise, this position did not exist at SGS. When I questioned this, he then directed me to a position titled Customer Service Administrator after a very long pause. I asked him to provide his work (not personal) contact information for verification purposes, at that time, he stopped responding. I was able to catch this scam, thanks to the previous ScamPulse.com complaint, before receiving and depositing the fraudulent check.

I was approached through email from a job-board website (Ziprecruiter) from a company from Switzerland for an Administrative Executive position that was internet based from home. $16 per hour during 2 weeks training and $35 per hour after training. I was given 2 separate training tasks. Both to write technical articles on "Customer Service Management" and "Analyzing Information". Was sent a cashier’s check that was Fedexed to purchase office equipment and software. Was instructed to let my "supervisor" know when I was on my way to deposit check. A cashier’s check that was written from a bogus company. Address for company who wrote check was a home and not business at all. I also saw the same exact wording as other work-from-home scams down to the equipment purchased. Even the ‘off’ spelling of some words were consistent.

I was utilizing ZipRecruiter to search for jobs when I got my first Interview Invite through the site. I, of course, got excited and accepted the interview invite. The alleged hiring person emailed me back and I initially noticed some typos but looking over the job detail that was sent to me with all these amazing benefits and beyond amazing pay so I overlooked it. He requested me to set up a google hangout for the Interview on a Saturday morning. Odd right? Well I went through with it assuming that it was going to be a video interview but it was only chatting. By the end of it he told me I was hired and sent me an Employment Letter and I noticed it was odd also in regards to it being "signed" by the Chief Executive Officer of the actual company of SGS which obviously doesn’t make sense because it should be signed by the Human Resources Department or Hiring Department. The man goes by Dr. Hills Gonzalez which was the first thing I noticed because seriously who the *** has a PhD in Human Resources right? Well "training" started Monday and I inquired when I would receive the said equipment for this job and he said he was sending me a check to go purchase it myself. What the ***. I finally receive this check and it’s for $3,950 with a letter from a Mrs. Katherine Lopez that requests that the moment I deposit the check I need to email her right away using her email [email protected] Also the check is from a "MidFirst Bank" that is from OK and the authorized signature looks like "Rah(a or u)t Palte(s or r)" the bank routing number was crazy long too. *** *** ***1. I reported to my bank and they are taking care of it.
