Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was sent a large check and asked to deposit it into my checking account. Purchase gift cards from walmart and to send money transfers to Maryland. I was supposed to keep $400 as my commission. I did not deposit the check nor follow any of the instructions because you are not supposed to be asked to make money transfers. The scammers will send you a fake cashiers check. Do not cash it!!! You will be liable for the funds because the check is fake.
