Type of a scam Employment

I see that there was a previous report sent over on July 2018. I wish I saw that this was an issue as that is around the time that I accepted the position as a virtual assistant in the US as a data analysis position from Recruit Express in July 2018. I was first contacted by a recruiter on Fiverr by the name of Jessica McCain who then referred me interview with Audrey Smith, an HR officer. We did the interview on Skype where they asked for my resume and then I received an offer the next day with a contract with job requirements and payment. I just checked back on my Skype and it looks like the name on the account has now been changed to Brittany Williams.

I was then contacted by my soon to be "supervisor", Anderson Jack, [email protected] and asked to complete a training process via google hangouts. We started chatting in google hangouts and I was even asked to complete a series of trial runs such as research papers and assignments to make sure I was suitable for the job. After a month interview process I was accepted and things started to get sketchy. They then asked for my credit card information and said my payments would be made via my card. I didn’t give them my credit card, but I opened a bank account with Discover and they deposited money into the account. Discover flagged it for 2 weeks for a review, but then released it making me think that everything was okay. However after a while, I was told them I was done and I will be breaking my contract early as this was a lot more time consuming than I thought it was going to be. After the second check of being flagged and returned, an agent from Discover and I talked and we concluded that I’ve been scammed. It’s so embarrassing to admit that, but that is what happened and now I know better.

Most likely I will have to owe up to $4800 back to Discover because of them. It’s a shame because I did my research, I looked into their website and I thought they were legit. I see their website on so many job places and know they are still scamming people out of money. Please stop this fake company from hurting more people.

I was approached about a virtual job opportunity for a data analysis position from Recruit Express in April 2018. They told me I would be a data analysis as well as a virtual assistant for their United States position. I was first contacted by their "accounting" department [email protected] who had me fill out standard employee documentation and agreements. I was given an "employee number" as well as signed documentation on my salary and job requirements. I was then contacted by my soon to be "supervisor", Anderson Jack, [email protected] and asked to complete the interview process via google hangouts. We started chatting in google hangouts and I was even asked to complete a series of interview trial runs such as research papers and assignments to make sure I was suitable for the job. After a month interview process I was accepted and things started to get sketchy. They then asked for my credit card information and said my payments would be made via my card. They then put fraudulent money on my card and scammed me out of thousands of dollars. I see their website on so many job places and know they are still scamming people out of money. Please stop this fake company from hurting more people.
