Type of a scam Online Purchase
An advertisement for one of their "products" appeared in my Facebook feed. I found it curious because I have nothing related to this product in my profile but thought the gift would be nice for a friend. So I placed an order. I figured because they bought ad time on Facebook that Facebook had certain advertising policies to prevent fraudulent companies from advertising. I was wrong.
I placed an order, received confirmation and for the past 3 weeks the status has remained "On it’s way." I reached out to the provided e-mail for an update (https://gearcloset.co) no response. Received a 2nd e-mail with the same status, replied asking for an update, no response. I reached out several more times including that I will be reporting to the BBB. Still no response. I have realized that this is clearly a fraudulent company. Facebook should be held equally as responsible. For all consumers know Facebook could be creating false advertising and products to scam money from it’s users. This is clear by their apparent lack of any accountability or verification for purchasing ad space.
